Good to know
Do you need my Untappd password?
No. You download your own export and upload the file. We never sign in to Untappd and never fetch anything from it.
Is my file stored?
No. It's read in your browser; only the details your check-ins need are saved — not the file.
What if I import the same export twice — or a newer one later?
Nothing is doubled. Check-ins already imported are recognised, and a newer export only adds what's new.
Are dates and ratings kept?
Yes — the original date and time, rating, serving, place and comment. Imported check-ins don't count as new activity or for “Popular right now”.
Who sees my imported check-ins?
You choose before importing: Public (default) or Only me. Your profile privacy settings always apply.
What about beers Hopscape doesn't have yet?
Suggest them in one tap. When our team adds them, your waiting check-ins are linked and you get a notification.
Can I undo it?
Yes. “Remove this import” deletes only the check-ins that import created — nothing else.
Are my photos imported?
No — Untappd's data export doesn't include your photos, so they can't come along. Your dates, ratings and comments do.
